NEW LINDSAY ART *flail!*

I would say this proves your mastery of value structures in general, and hatching as a means to that end specifically :D Makes me want to go shade something, LOL. It's a relaxing technique isnt' it? I always think of it like most people think of knitting.

She looks wistful and ...somehow both careworn AND innocent.

Beautiful piece! I like it when people aren't afraid to be messy! Its worth it sometimes, it makes the picture look more carefree and natural.

I love ballpoint pens, I used to sketch all the time during school and pissed the teachers right off! Eventually they got used to it.

Perhaps we need to have dreams so wild they make us think we can't achieve them, but inspiring enough to make us try...

I LOVE messy lol! Just ask my poor boyfriend. :P But yeah I agree, it just gives things a certain... something. Some pictures that are hyper-detailed are still beautiful, but I'm always more drawn to sketchier things if that makes sense.

Yeah, I still sketch all over my notebooks while the teacher talks, unless we hit a really involved subject. Calc III has been my sketchtime lately, because the guy is such a babbler. =)

I would say YES. :) I hadn't used it in ages either, not for drawing, and doing this was surprisingly very freeing.
